Details from official press release:
On July 7, 2016, at approximately 1:54 a.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to a convenience store located at 2877 East Charleston Boulevard to investigate reports of gunshots heard and a male down in the parking lot. Arriving officers located an adult male near the front of the business with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the University Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated the victim arrived with two other individuals on foot. While in the parking lot he became involved in an argument with the adult male suspect. The suspect pulled a gun and fired at the victim several times, striking him. He was last seen leaving in a silver newer-model 4-door sedan, possibly a Mazda. No arrests have been made in this case and the motive remains unknown.
This is the 93rd homicide investigated by the LVMPD in 2016. The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
